Remakers renting workshop space have worked on furniture upcycling and reclamation, design and build services of fit-outs for retail, hospitality, residential and office interiors. We advertise jobs that come to the Remakery on our noticeboard.
It is possible to book an area of the Remakery for a workshop or an event, get in contact with us.
Our main focus is on raw materials and components that can be used for members’ projects (see list below), rather than whole products such as furniture and appliances. We do not guarantee to collect everything offered to us – we will make decisions based on the type and quality of materials, the storage capacity we have available, and the availability of our volunteer drivers to make a collection. Material enquiries to Mark Ovenden: materials (at) remakery.org
In general, we are interested in the following categories of materials:
- Timber and plywood sheets
- DIY supplies including paints and ceramic tiles
- Tools, hardware, fixings, fasteners and cord
- Textiles: on the roll, scraps, and soft (clean) furnishings
- Other art and design materials
- Bicycle parts and tools
If you have domestic furniture or appliances in good condition that you want to donate for re-use, we advise contacting organisations that specialise in collecting and re-selling these, such as:
